Restom Epoxy EAF 2092 is a two-component epoxy paint for anti-corrosion protection of steel and classic-vehicle parts. This page concerns the 5 kg pack in satin black RAL 9005.

Suitable surfaces and properties

• intended for chassis, motorcycle frames, wheels, inner wings, floors, brake calipers, suspension arms, drums and springs;
• stated temperature resistance up to 200°C;
• according to Restom, it can be applied directly to prepared metal without a primer;
• adhesion to steel, aluminium, magnesium, yellow metals and galvanised surfaces;
• can be applied to plastics with Plastprim 7000 adhesion primer;
• flexible paint suitable for springs;
• resistant to runs of antifreeze, oils, fuels, battery acid and most brake fluids.

Application

Apply to sanded or brushed and degreased steel, or to Restom Phosprim 4090. For spray application, Restom specifies a 1 to 1.5 mm nozzle, 4.5 to 5 bar pressure and 10 to 20% dilution with Diluant 2092 depending on conditions. It can also be applied by brush or roller.

The parts are stated to be handleable after 4 to 6 hours at 20°C under optimal drying conditions; maximum resistance is stated after one week at 20°C and below 70% humidity.
