Hose clamps for classic cars

A suitable clamp keeps a hose secure and sealed without crushing or cutting it. Choose it according to the actual outside diameter of the fitted hose and the circuit environment.

Choosing a clamp

Measure the hose in place, consider the available space and check the fluid involved. A clamp used on a fuel, cooling or air hose must suit the application.

Fitting

Place the clamp behind the fitting bead when the installation calls for it. Tighten enough to seal without deforming the hose. Inspect regularly for leaks, cracks and rubbing.
