Rear shock absorber ACADIANE Record
This Record rear shock has a 14mm eye, is sold in pairs and can only be fitted to Acadianes.
There are 4 shock absorbers in a 2cv or derivative: 2 at the front and 2 at the rear. They are used to limit the impact of road deformations and reduce vibrations. When they are worn, they accelerate tire wear. To anticipate the wear of your shock absorbers, you can spot a few signs such as an abnormally long braking distance, altered handling in turns, high sensitivity to gusts of side winds.
The difference between shock absorbers and suspension is that the shock absorbers absorbs the effects of vertical rebounds while the suspension improves handling.
