Electrogalvanized cataphoresis chassis 2CV since april 1970
The chassis fits on 2CV since april 1970, but also on Dyane or Méhari.
This body parts piece is assembled from electrogalvanized pieces, like actual vehicles. Then it has a cataphoresis treatment on the surface.
As it is a cold treatment, the flat metal sheets are not distorted on the electrogalvanized chassis, unlike the galvanized chassis.
You have to protect these chassis with cavity wax and a surface painting so that the guarantee is still applicable.
For the Benelux countries (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, germany), chassis are sold with a TUV approval certificate. In France, it's not mandatory. For the vehicles of 30 years old or more, the absence of chassis number can't be a reason for refulsal at the technical control. So you are not mandatory to punch your number.
